Construction PM / COORDINATOR – commercial / retail

Entry level - 5 years of experience

We have partnered with a local and privately held construction and real estate company based in the Charlotte area. We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager/ PM Coordinator to work with the VP of Construction and support all field & office responsibilities for multiple regional commercial and retail construction projects.

A Bachelor’s in Construction Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related is preferred.


  • Assist with coordinating pre-construction and project meetings to provide support in all areas of project management, working closely with the VP of Construction
  • Assist with job scheduling, subcontractor communication and oversight and all project documentation
  • Take responsibility for subcontract agreements, providing budget information and tracking all purchase orders
  • Maintain all project files: drawings/renderings, submittals, maintenance manuals, punch-lists, purchase orders and correspondence
  • Support the review and processing of all change orders and prepare project progress billings and reports
  • Review submittals and drawings and maintain an updated project status log and job cost reports
  • Support the VP and project executives in controlling project cost to budget
  • Maintain a presence on-site to ensure overall quality control measures are in place
  • Assist with project close-out and post-construction meetings
