 The Financial Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting Accounting and Finance, as well as providing Project Management support for all other Accounting Technology related initiatives.

 Responsibilities: 

  • Rapidly develop a solid understanding of the ERP System (SAGE500) and processes especially financial statement report writing, actual to budget report, forecasting models, S&OP System, Data Warehouse and BI Systems. and overall reporting infrastructure
  • Develop reports using BI Tools and Sage Enterprise
  • Work one on one with the Business to develop requirements and best practices for aligning our Reporting Solutions and Dashboards with Business Processes
  • Work with Production Planning and Purchasing as well as Sales and Distribution personnel to develop and maintain reporting and metrics
  • Work with internal IT and external consulting resources to help design, develop, and implement System solutions
  • Report on and maintain metrics for the Sales Order Life Cycle and daily costing
  • Maintain timely and accurate project and report documentation
  • Work closely with IT Staff, Consultants, and the Business coordinating projects and issue resolution
  • Serve as project scheduling liaison for internal resources
  • Coordinate meetings, testing, and touchpoints
  • Maintain effective communication with Sales, Operations, and IT to communicate progress and status of all initiatives and projects

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with Data / Business Analysis in Finance or Accounting within a Manufacturing, Distribution, or Production Environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration or Finance or Accounting, MIS, CISM or another business / technology related discipline with prior experience in Accounting & Finance
  • Experience with ERP Systems required (SAGE ERP / MAS 500 experience strongly preferred)
  • Experience with OLAP Cube reporting tools such as MS Power BI, and Business Objects
  • Experience working with Enterprise Data Warehouses
  • Project Management Experience
  • Advanced Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access with an emphasis on Data Analysis
  • Excellent problem solving skills, with an emphasis on innovative and creative solutions
  • Self-starter, who needs little direction and is highly motivated
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
