CPA/Public Accountant Seeking Transition to Industry – Charlotte NC

We have partnered with a family wealth office that’s based in Charlotte NC and are engaged to fill a unique opportunity for a strong Senior or light Manager looking to transition into an industry role. This is an integral position on a high performing team and will report to the Director of Accounting with a dotted line to the CFO. Our client offers confidential, customized financial services to high net-worth clients and related privately held entities. These services include personal and corporate accounting and financial reporting, cash flow planning, bill paying and expense reporting as well as high level tax planning and investment administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and perform consolidated reporting for multiple entities, including a highly complex investment partnership construct (10-12 partners, including individuals, private foundations and trusts)
• Collaborate with the Director of Accounting to develop a strategic approach to reaching short- and long-term goals, recommending improvements in areas such as organizational efficiency, process and procedures enhancement and other areas as noted
• Knowledge of general audit procedures with ability to structure reporting and provide requested documents/reports to answer any questions which may arise
• Knowledge of general tax procedures, able to partner with and support external CPA teams in preparation of annual tax, preparing and providing documents and reports as requested
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within an established public accounting firm
• Ability to extensively utilize MS Office Suites (Excel)
• Exposure to QuickBooks or similar system ideal

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance – required
• CPA license, MBA or Master’s in Accountancy – preferred
