Junior Paralegal - Union Work

The Junior Paralegal will be responsible for working on various legal transactions specific to the operations on a Union.  The Paralegal will be responsible for completing tasks and completing a number of critical projects end-to-end both individually and as part of the collective barging agreements. We are seeking someone who wants to work in Labor and has a passion for employment law.  As an employee of the Union, you will receive three pensions. 

Essential Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities)

The Junior Paralegal will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Draft, revise, assemble and distribute loan and mortgage assignment documents as part of the Legal Operations Transaction department; tracking receipt of same.

Prepare and obtain signature pages to documents and transmit documents to third parties.

Create, maintain and review deal files for Transactional Group held both in house and with third party .

Drafting correspondence letters and distribution of same, document imaging and uploading documents to a share file cloud system.

Assist with due diligence review by attorneys and agents.

The majority of work will be through email and telephone dealing with various departments and outside counsels.


Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 or more years of experience as a legal assistant/paralegal servicing a team of attorneys or Employment Law knowledge

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

The candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Must be articulate with excellent grammar

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must be hardworking, a quick learner, detail-oriented, well organized and have the ability to work alone as well as with others to reach a common goal.
