Operations Foreman

Job Description: The Operations Foreman will be responsible for the direct supervision of the Operators assigned to his area. The Operations Foreman is also accountable for implementing all required processes as directed by the Senior Foreman to ensure coordinated and consistent execution throughout North Dakota operations. The Operations Foreman must ensure all safety, production and lift cost goals are met in his area of accountability, while sustaining our excellent reputation within the community and with all associated stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Liaison with required departments to ensure collaborative implementation of their required initiatives as confirmed by the Senior Foreman

  • Responsible to ensure all goals within area of responsibility are properly communicated to the team and executed as required

  • Responsible for production of assigned area which includes daily monitoring, weekly production reporting, managing all associated downtime, which requires majority of time in the field

  • Collaborate with management and/or technical teams on production optimizations, facility designs, vendor selection and other business decisions as required

  • Must ensure all elements of our chemical program are being adhered to. This requires actively collaborating with Operations Engineers as required

  • Monthly reporting on OPEX expenditures, listing any spend anomalies and overall monitoring for immediate cost control including specified features of the OPEX budget as directed by Senior Production Foreman along with expected overall knowledge of total budget and lift costs

  • All aspects of performance management for direct reports and contract operators, including mentoring, consistently providing constructive feedback and setting clear direction to ensure quality performance management

  • Directly responsible for safety compliance to CPEC’s Standards within our Operations Management Systems

  • Responsible for other additional activities which include involvement in development plans, required maintenance tasks and the many initiatives stemming from HSE, Asset Integrity, Regulatory Compliance

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 10 years of related oil and gas experience including 3 years of direct supervisory experience desired; but will consider candidates that are qualified and lack years of experience 
  • Post-secondary education would be considered an asset; High school diploma is required
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Strong conflict management and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop strategic recommendations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills are required
  • Related technical tickets are considered an asset
  • Must comply with all local area safety tickets
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
