Senior Project Architect II/III
Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid)
An established Architecture & Design firm is seeking a Senior Project Architect III to join our collaborative team of design professionals. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced architect who thrives at the intersection of design excellence, technical precision, and client partnership. You will manage architectural projects from concept through completion—ensuring quality, schedule, and budget alignment—while inspiring and mentoring teams through the process.
You’ll lead the design and documentation of projects across Retail/Hospitality, Commercial Mixed Use, Modular Design & Higher Ed. You’ll also play a key role in managing client relationships and participating in business development to help grow our presence across the Mountain West.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead the development and execution of architectural projects, ensuring quality design outcomes are delivered on schedule and within budget.
Actively support business development efforts by assisting with proposal writing, project scoping, and securing new project opportunities within the Denver market.
Assemble and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), coordinating with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project clarity and alignment.
Partner closely with the Studio Principal to guide studio operations, support staffing needs, and provide mentorship and leadership to junior architects and designers.
Oversee project documentation and coordination through all phases—from schematic design to construction administration—while ensuring the design intent is preserved.
Facilitate internal team meetings and client-facing discussions related to design development, technical execution, and project delivery.
Strengthen firm reputation by building trusted relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, and contributing to an inclusive and high-performing studio culture.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
Licensed Architect (in any U.S. jurisdiction).
10-15+ years of architectural experience with a focus on project management, technical documentation, and design delivery including experience running one or multiple sectors.
Strong understanding of building systems, materials, and construction detailing.
A robust portfolio demonstrating strength in both design and construction document development.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with LEED, sustainable design principles, or integrated design practices.
Working knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling), buildingSMART, and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD).
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and SketchUp.
NCARB certification.
