Senior Business Development Leader – Aerospace

(Long Cycle, High Growth Environment)

We’re partnering with an industry-leading aerospace company at a pivotal moment in their growth cycle. With a track record of exceeding aggressive growth targets—they're now focused on scaling to $600M, $800M, and ultimately $1B in revenue. To support that trajectory, they’ve created an opening for a senior business development leader to step in and shape the next phase of this journey.

This isn’t just a Business Development role—it’s a strategic growth seat, interfacing directly with divisional leadership, engineering, operations, and executive stakeholders across multi-million dollar, multi-year aerospace programs.

What You’ll Own:

Leading the development and execution of long-range growth strategies—focused on both new market penetration and expansion of existing multi-year contracts (typical renewal cycles run 9–15 months; new business cycles are 2+ years).

Acting as the key liaison across strategic accounts, internal engineering teams, and the Aerospace Group’s executive BD leadership.

Shaping product and market strategy in alignment with engineering, operations, and customer requirements.

Managing and developing a small sales and marketing team aligned to long-cycle aerospace engagements.

Executing on business cases, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans that match the division’s ambitious growth targets.

Ideal Fit:

10+ years of progressive experience in business development or sales leadership in aerospace, defense, or other long-cycle manufacturing sectors.

Demonstrated success with large, multi-million dollar contracts and complex technical offerings.

Comfortable owning both the strategic and execution sides of growth—developing pipeline, building internal alignment, and leading the close.

Experience leading a division, territory, or national sales team (5–8 years).

Strong cross-functional collaborator—especially with technical engineering leaders.

Data- and performance-driven; bonus if you’re fluent in Salesforce, Power BI, or similar tools.

Why This Role:

The previous leader was promoted—this division builds success from within.

You’ll inherit strong momentum, a healthy team, and executive buy-in for next-stage growth.

Compensation includes competitive base + bonus, with significant visibility and impact at the divisional

and corporate level.
