VP Finance Stategy

California based SaaS company has a newly created VP Finance/Strategy role that we are recruiting for. Ideal candidate would be a former CFO of a large enterprise who is looking pivot into a smaller high growth organization. 

 

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Strategy, the VP of Business Strategy, North America is responsible for feeding the business strategy with North America market expertise and insights and relaying the strategy externally to analysts and other market participants and internally to sales, and operations.

 

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Strategy

? Facilitate the execution of the strategy by working collaboratively with cross functional teams

? Evangelize the vision to secure buy-in across the company

? Participate in analyst and investor relations meetings and events, evangelize the vision and category to analysts and investors

? Monitor market developments and innovations related to TMS / payments / Risk / working cap finance solutions/technologies

? Engage external business and industry experts to learn and influence business strategies, constantly remaining alert and forward-thinking about opportunities and risks

Operations

? Partner with sales and marketing to implement go-to-market strategies

? Be a strategic overlay for sales teams

? Support marketing with CFO expertise

? Support Product with CFO expertise

? Foster relationships with key clients in order to understand their needs and identify opportunities to improve Kyriba solutions

Market Research

? Collect intelligence inside and outside the company.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 10 years of experience in Finance, of which at least 5 years should have been served as a CFO role in a medium sized enterprise, e.g. $500m+ in revenue
  • Deep expertise in strategic planning, growth, operational improvement, and other relevant strategy experience, such as M&A
  • Significant experience in sourcing and acquiring appropriate tools and applications that drive value and performance
    • Ability to conduct value-added questioning, challenging and exploring conversations with internal stakeholders and external customers executives
    • Strong strategic insight development, strategy process design, research, analytical and project management skills
    • Blend of excellent verbal / written communication skills and very strong quantitative capabilities
    • Bachelors Degree, MBA etc.
