Welder Duties - Perform welding and fitting tasks according to project specifications and blueprints. - Use various tools and equipment, such as calipers and press brake machines, to measure and fabricate metal components. - Assemble and weld metal parts using different welding techniques, such as FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding). - Read and interpret blueprints to determine welding requirements and dimensions. - Ensure all welds meet quality standards and adhere to codes and standards. - Conduct inspections of completed welds to identify any defects or imperfections.

We are seeking a Tank Welder to become an integral part of our clients team in Gurnee, IL! The Welder will use specialized equipment to weld and assemble new metal forms.

Welder Responsibilities

 

• Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products using GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SAW Processes

• Install and repair various equipment and components

• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications

• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications

 

Welder Qualifications

 

• Ability to work on turntable

• Ability to work on round objects using degree measurements

• Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields

• Familiarity with welding tools and procedures in the tank building industry

• Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics

• Ability to handle physical workload
