Empire Staffing Network is seeking a talented candidate to fill the direct-hire Quality Tech role for our client based out of Kenosha, WI.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for determining the basic quality of product and referring questionable situations to Quality Assurance Manager.

Essential Functions:

 

• Verify all quality Checks at various work stations with the help of RedZone database to ensure the product meets specifications.

• Place non-conforming product ON HOLD. Investigate HOLD product and provide support to the team.

• Handle all RTAs (Returned goods). Follow through the process in coordination with several departments and perform final disposition.

• File production paperwork at the end of the day.

• Conduct ATP swabbing at the beginning of each shift or after Maintenance repairs.

• Help answer production question when necessary.

• Working on customer returned product and customer complaints as required.

• Handle Inventory transactions and maintenance of the Quality Inventory.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

 

• Knowledge of HACCP and GMP to help enforce rules and report violations.

• Ability to learn, interpret and apply Quality Assurance procedures.

• Perform math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and averaging.

• Able to read rulers and gauges.

• Number and letter matching skills

• Basic computer entry skills using Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Must be able to set priorities based on production needs, and work overtime when required.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

• Position requires considerable walking and standing.

• The ability to lift 50 lbs. and bending is also required.

• The incumbent will also be performing sedentary desk work.

 

Environmental Conditions

 

• Air-conditioned/heated facility with adequate lighting.

• Personal protective equipment: hearing and eye protection are required and provided.

• Padded rubber mats are provided for comfort while standing.

• Tube checks require the incumbent to submerge hands in water or Insty-Shir solution.
