We are actively seeking an energetic Manufacturing Operator who performs all duties related to

inventory/receiving, shipping, Conveyance, and assembly. This will include a variety of value-add

operations to component parts of storage, receiving, shipment, and handling of final assemblies

following standardized work and within expected cycle times through all processes.

This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client based out of Waukegan, IL. 

 

General Duties and Responsibilities:

? Read, understand, and perform the requirements of shop orders.

? Follow standardized manufacturing procedures and perform all quality checks to ensure that all

customer expectations are met.

? Competence with standard hand tools in addition to presses, pneumatic tools, gauges, test

equipment, hoists, etc.

? Read and understand blueprints to perform job functions.

? Cross-train functions between shipping, receiving, conveyance, lapping, inventory, & assembly.

? Ability to use floor terminals and workbench to perform job tasks such as punching in and off

jobs, reviewing work instructions and drawings, etc.

? Keep the work area in a clean orderly and well-maintained condition.

? Understand and follow all safety rules.

? Proper material handling practices

? Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities:

? Capability of reading and interpreting documents such as standardized work, safety rules, and

operating and maintenance instructions.

? Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

? Proficiency in basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).

? Ability to use a good degree of manual dexterity & ability to produce various products in a work

cell environment.

? Ability to work on a team and use problem-solving skills.

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required. One to three years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

Continuously lifting or moving lightweight material. Occasionally lifting or moving average weight

material in difficult work positions. Ability to lift, move, pull, push, or carry anywhere from 5 to 25 lbs

with a max of 50 lbs at times.
