We are currently seeking a skilled project engineer for a direct-hire opportunity with our manufacturing client based out of Waukegan, IL.

 

Overview:

The goal of the Project Engineer is to perform all functions of production support, quality control, and continuously

improving the manufacturing process by applying lean manufacturing philosophy.

 

Salary: $70k - 85k

 

General Duties:

• Works with design and product engineers to ensure all products and system requirements are

considered from the initial product release to the final production release. Designs assembly

methods and procedures for new products.

• Develops and drives implementation of best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to

improve safety, production rates, and quality of output.

• Optimizes manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow with time study, space

requirements, and equipment layout, minimizing work motion, and eliminating production waste.

• Provides engineering knowledge and technical problem-solving skill to resolve any daily

production issues.

• Implements and maintains process engineering instructions and standardized work instructions,

including time study for all manufacturing processes.

• Develops and design tooling, equipment, and production lines as needed for any production

requirements.

• Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; establishes PM

to improve equipment reliability.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

• While performing the duties of the job, the employee will be required to continuously sit, talk,

keyboard, and frequently walk.

• The employee must be able to lift up to 20 pounds maximum. The common frequent weight is 5-

10 pounds.

• Specific vision requirements of this job include close distance and color vision, depth perception,

• and the ability to adjust focus.
