Business Applications Analyst Sr

We are seeking an experienced Business Applications Analyst with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field of study and at least 10 years of relevant experience. In this challenging, fast-paced environment, you'll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience to develop various IT systems in order to support the design and creation of the most groundbreaking aerospace and defense technologies - those that exist today and those that will shape tomorrow. What to look forward to: As a Business Applications Analyst, you will be using your skills and expertise to problem solve and architect challenging, new IT solutions. You'll be responsible for planning, analysis, and design of our enhancements, major deployments, upgrades, and user/role based security. Your technical responsibilities include the application of our server based IT system methodologies and concepts.

This position will be responsible for performing the planning, analysis, design, enhancements, major deployments, upgrades, support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and user/role based security maintenance for various server-based and cloud based IT systems including applications leveraging Azure, Project Server, SharePoint, and other Microsoft technologies.

Requires in-depth knowledge of server-based IT systems, Microsoft SQL, and Microsoft Server 2012/2016, as well as the ability to problem solve and architect new solutions. Extensive T-SQL experience is required. Process knowledge should include ITIL framework and SDLC methodologies

EDUCATION/ SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Requires a BA/BS Information Technology or related field of study. Relevant work experience may substitute for required education.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting, troubleshooting, and administering a variety of application platforms
  • Strong T-SQL knowledge for analytics and troubleshooting of application issues
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting
  • IIS and web application administration
  • Administration and support of SharePoint farms, MS Project, and other web applications
  • Troubleshoot, interpret logs, document steps to reproduce software bugs, process problems or other issues which create application errors
  • Ability to effectively execute multiple, complex tasks
  • Comprehensive troubleshooting skills of various software products
  • Superior customer service and communication skills along with ability to drive productive team collaboration
  • Required attributes for this position include a strong sense of customer/solution ownership, an overall drive for excellence, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects to successful completion

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Data analysis and report creation on application data
  • Administration and support of SharePoint farm and other web applications
  • Work with the business to implement new enhancements from the analysis to implementation phases, while ensuring that thorough testing occurs
  • Troubleshoot, interpret logs, document steps to reproduce software bugs, process problems or other issues which create application errors
  • Work with 3rd party vendors to support applications.
  • Support business objectives and ensure alignment with existing and new solutions
  • Direct research on potential technology solutions in support of software procurement efforts
  • Benchmark, analyze, and make recommendations with supporting data for the improvement and growth of the environment
  • Provide regular updates to direct manager through status updates, staff meetings, and face-to-face interaction
  • Ensure application documentation is thorough and kept up to date
  • Stay current with the latest technologies
  • Provide on call support as needed
  • Able to work independently on tasks assigned

This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
