Mechanical Engineer / Senior Mechanical Engineer

Position Summary

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is a support engineer, executing on directions and planning of others. Conducts work requiring judgment regarding the independent evaluation, selection, adoption of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

• Coordinates small, discipline specific tasks and projects.
• Experience in CAD and/or BIM.
• May coordinate, and/or review the work of other professionals who assist in specific assignments.
• May act as billing group lead on moderately complex engineering tasks where coordination with other disciplines is needed.
• May act as Engineer of Record on projects as approved by Manager.
• Performs work with an understanding of their impact on project budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
• Work to meet or exceed QA standards.
• All other duties assigned by Manager.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Registered Professional Mechanical Engineer
• PE license (or if local, can earn PE license within six months)
• 10+ years’ experience.
• Knowledge of the International Mechanical Code and the International Building Code and other applicable laws and regulations relating to the design, installation and maintenance of mechanical systems in buildings.
• May be a member of a professional or technical society.
• Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills.
• Work successfully in a customer focused, project-oriented environment.
