Position Overview
This role is a unique blend of Financial Controller and Executive Assistant responsibilities, requiring hands-on financial expertise, organizational acumen, and a proactive mindset. The Financial Controller will serve as a key advisor to the executive team, particularly the CEO, while overseeing financial administration, project tracking, and HR processes.

What we’re looking for
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in finance, accounting, or a related field.
· 5-7+ years of experience in financial administration, accounting, or a similar role.
· Familiarity with payment systems, financial tools, and accounting software.
· Experience in manufacturing and/or maritime industries required.
Skills:
· Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Exceptional communication skills for interfacing with stakeholders and producing reports.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and project management tools.
· Analytical and proactive problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
· Perform hands-on bookkeeping, including accounts receivable/payable and cash flow management.
· Manage day-to-day payment processing, verify invoices, and maintain payment schedules.
· Monitor bank accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records and systems.
· Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and preparing financial analyses for internal stakeholders.
· Track and report variances between budgets and actuals, flagging discrepancies.
· Prepare bidding budgets for investors and the board of directors.
Strategic Support:
· Act as the leadership’s right hand, providing high-level administrative and financial support.
· Assist with process improvements and implementation of operational tools (e.g., Monday.com).
· Proactively identify potential challenges and propose solutions, considering long-term impacts.
Project Coordination:
· Provide financial and administrative support for ongoing projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
· Communicate with project teams to gather and analyze financial data.
· Document project outcomes and streamline administrative processes.
