About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pavement Engineer. The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of industry experience, hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license, and possess expertise in pavement design, analysis, and construction oversight. Familiarity with Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) testing will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead pavement engineering projects, including design, analysis, and maintenance strategies.
  • Perform evaluations using FWD testing, pavement coring and visual observations to assess pavement performance.
  • Develop and implement pavement rehabilitation and preservation plans.
  • Collaborate with geotechnical engineers, construction teams, and clients to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure projects comply with relevant standards, codes, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the firm’s technical knowledge base.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on pavements or geotechnical engineering.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in pavement engineering.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Proficiency in pavement design software and FWD testing techniques and analyses.
  • Strong understanding of materials science as it pertains to pavement design and performance.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Here’s what HWA will offer you:

  • Starting Base Salary based on your experience- $125,000–$170,000 per year
