SUMMARY

Are you a Production Manager with experience in the food manufacturing and packaging industry? Have you previously worked with glass and raw materials in a controlled environment such as (recipe ingredients, labels, jars, custom lids, mixes, case printing, tray packaging) in bulk with high volume? If so, we want to hear from you. We are seeking a Production Manager for a food manufacturing company in San Antonio, Texas that has an eye and passion for continuous process improvement and the ability to cross-train employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrate operational excellence in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and organizational development and maintain compliance with all regulations and laws.
• Identifies potential problems and points of friction and works to find solutions to maximize efficiencies.
• Standardizes best practices across area of support and continuous improvements.
• Supports the sales and operations planning process.
• Ensures successful implementation of new product development activities.
• Achieves inventory improvements and manages manufacturing output.
• Responsible for oversight, efficiency, productivity, and accountability of department to meet customer service needs.
• Train and cross train employees and process owners to support KPI’s and department’s expectations.
• Gain proficiency in internal manufacturing equipment and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Establish production standards where needed
• Develop department key performance indicators (KPI’s) for monthly review of actual results vs. plan and drive continuous improvements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business-related field preferred
• Five (5) – Ten (10) years production experience with three (3) years in a management role or an equivalent combination of education and /or related experience.
• Certified in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, HACCP, SQF, GMP or other manufacturing certifications or training preferred (such as 5 Why’s, 5S)
• Prior experience in the food manufacturing and packaging environment preferred.
• Skilled in updating processes/process improvements and applying lean manufacturing principles.
• Skilled at holding others accountable respectively.
• Fluent in Spanish/Bi-lingual
