SUMMARY
We are seeking a hands-on Service Manager to oversee our team of technicians. This growing company is in beautiful Boerne, Texas! This person will be responsible for interacting with customers to troubleshoot problems and determining service needs, estimating labor and material pricing for repair or maintenance projects, planning and scheduling technician crews to jobs daily, supporting field technicians with technical expertise, maintaining equipment and parts inventory for field crew use, and ensuring our field crews operate efficiently. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing service or installation
- Estimate labor and material needs for pump installation or repair projects
- Dispatch and coordinate daily schedules for service technicians
- Manage job prioritization and technician assignments
- Provide technical support and supervise field technicians throughout the day
- Monitor job progress and ensure timely completion
- Troubleshoot water well system issues over the phone
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, job details, and parts used
- Participate in technician hiring, evaluation, and training
- Oversee readiness and maintenance of service trucks and support equipment
- Maintain inventory levels of parts, equipment and sundries for standard service applications
- Maintain compliance with company safety and government regulatory requirements, and communicate with the drilling team and office staff to coordinate workflow and billing.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in service management, dispatch, and/or technician leadership role
- Technical knowledge of residential and PWS water wells (pumps, tanks, controls, etc.)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing field service technicians or construction crews
- Valid driver’s license required with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in an outdoor setting in a construction environment as necessary, to include wearing safety PPE, standing for long periods of time, full range of body movement, and the ability to routinely lift 50 lbs.
- Proficiency with scheduling software or CRM tools (or willingness to learn), with experience in Field Edge service software preferred
- TDLR Water Well Pump Installer and/or Driller licensing is preferred
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
