SUMMARY

Seeking a Plant Senior Accountant for a global manufacturing company near Detroit, MI. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly in a manufacturing context, to effectively manage the financial operations of the plant and support the overall financial health of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation of monthly financial statements and forecasts for the plant.
• Audit, reconcile and prepare schedules of general ledger and inventory activity.
• Formulate and compile data for preparation of budget or other accounting projects.
• Supervise A/P, A/R, and payroll activities daily.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports (year and audit) and audit binder preparation.
• Manage SRP package, operations memo, capital appropriations, exchange fluctuations, accounts receivable and standard cost information.
• Conduct account reconciliations and fixed asset maintenance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of the Company's policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 5 years of practical accounting experience with a minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experienced in ABC costing system and ADP payroll processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Strong computer skills (PC, AS 400).
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Advanced accounting skills, including standard costs, variance analysis
