SUMMARY

We are seeking an Electrical Hardware Test Engineer for an autonomous vehicle manufacturing leader. This engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that electromechanical systems are functioning. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop test plans and test cases to validate the electromechanical hardware in autonomous vehicle systems.
  • Work with design engineers to identify key performance parameters to test and validate. 
  • Test and verify that sensor data, power management systems, and other hardware components are correctly processed by the software systems, ensuring accurate operation of autonomous functions.
  • Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical hardware issues that arise during testing.
  • Work with design teams to resolve issues related to electrical components, wiring, circuit boards, and overall integration.
  • Document test results, analysis, and conclusions in detailed reports, ensuring transparency and traceability.
  • Provide feedback to design and development teams to help improve the electrical hardware based on test findings.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 2+ years of electromechanical troubleshooting or testing experience
  • Experience writing scripts using LabVIEW, Python or MATLAB
  • Experience troubleshooting or testing electromechanical products
  • Experience working with Linux
  • Familiarity with ethernet and/or CAN communication protocols
  • Experience and working knowledge of common test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electric load, current sensors, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and LISNs)
  • Preferred experience includes EMI and Environment testing and experience conducting testing per MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-464, DO-160 or similar standards.
