SUMMARY

Seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager with experience in managing K-12 education, education facilities, higher education, or hospital projects. The Project Manager must have a proven ability to successfully manage up to $15 million, and oversee quality, cost control, and safety requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, and legal documents
  • Working knowledge of construction means and methods
  • Proven analytical and reasoning skills, and ability to apply management-level thinking to resolve project-related and owner-related issues, problems, challenges, etc.
  • Proven experience with schedule management (will support Project Superintendent with schedule management)
  • Working knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations and proven experience at leading a compliant safety culture
  • Proven ability to develop and manage the project master and short-term schedules (3 week rolling)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn new programs quickly

REQUIREMENTS

  • B.S./B.A. in construction related discipline or equivalent combination of technical training and construction experience
  • 5+ years of Project Manager experience with commercial construction projects-public and private (K-12 Education Facility experience is a plus)
  • Proven ability to successfully manage projects of up to $15 million to meet budget, quality, cost control, and safety requirements

QUALITIES

  • Proven ability to build relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors
  • Competence in conflict and crisis management
  • Proven ability to manage, lead, and develop team members
  • Proven ability to close-out projects quickly and accurately
  • Existing knowledge of market conditions and subcontractors in our market preferred
  • Working knowledge of contract documents and negotiating contracts a plus
