SUMMARY

We are seeking a Quality / Continuous Improvement Engineer for a prominent company located in Central Pennsylvania, known for its high-quality manufacturing and product solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Will lead and implement quality and continuous improvement strategies, evaluate processes, and ensure quality standards are met, improved and exceeded. Identify potential quality issues and proactively implement solutions.
  • Enable faster, smarter, and safer business processes.
  • Identify, analyze, and evaluate technologies to ensure they are up to date in quality and safety.
  • Create documentation for findings and recommendations.
  • Communicate regularly with production leadership and plan and prioritize projects and garner leadership support of these activities.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance of incoming materials and outgoing products.
  • Investigate and respond to customer complaints.
  • Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Assist engineering team to help plant operate at its peak efficiency.
  • Assist engineering team as needed in the development and management of capital projects, systems, and equipment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field and/or combination of education and on-the-job experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work in a similar capacity.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience producing quantifiable savings and quality improvement in manufacturing.
  • Lean experience with Six Sigma preferred.
  • ISO Certification preferred.
  • Requires the ability to work independently with very limited supervision.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the company.
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Firm understanding of continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
