Quality Assurance Manager

Leading Oil & Gas International hardware supplier is seeking a well-experienced QA Manager to lead the development and implementation of a robust Quality Management System (ISO 9000) for various (2) different business divisions across various manufacturing locations. Build a team with the right professionals, passionate about quality, highly competent to spread the quality culture across the business divisions by driving customer engagement, improving internal processes and managing supplier quality. Manage and mentor the team to manage change and instill a quality mindset.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Lead cross functional change initiatives for process improvements
  • Manage Lean Six Sigma teams across various facilities
  • Develop and deploy Agile methodology for speed to market of new products
  • Focal point for all issues from pre-approval to close out of SFE files for assigned projects. Provide Quality assurance for manufactured components (Quality plan, Inspection, Test Plans, FAT’s, and SITs). Coordinator of land transportation for equipment to ensure compliance with Client’s policy (Critical Loads).
  • Coordinate the Review / Approval of all Quality Documentation (including QP, QN’s, ITP’s, MPQP’s, Test procedures / Reports, and other related documents, Final Documentation of Data Books) Coordinate / Participate in Quality Reviews and Audits of contractors.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the review / approval and tracking of all Non-conformity (QN) reports across Projects.
  • Manage all personnel for the close out of all quality documentation.
  • Manage and report on Subcontractor / Supplier Equipment Project Schedule against the Plant Schedule / Activities and report any deviation to the Project Engineering Team
  • Verify the documentation regarding the completion of the milestone payments prior to submission to Project Engineer. Identify areas of concern and report on quality problems as they arise. Assist in determining root causes and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with vendors to maintain and support production scheduling, problem solve with vendors on issues which arise during manufacturing, assembling and / or testing.
  • Support and maintain the Project Quality requirements during the manufacturing, assembling and testing, while continually supporting the production schedule to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Provide support for the Project Quality Audits. Participate / Coordinate in resolving problems that may arise at sub-suppliers facilities and fabrication sites.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • Lean Six Sigma
  • Solid expertise in evaluating, selecting and deploying Quality Management systems
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience leading Quality Management organizations
  • Global mindset regarding quality tempered with local, tactical leadership philosophies
  • Experience leading multi-cultural organizations across domestic and international borders
  • Demonstrated track record of improving on-time delivery in a variety of engineering teams through powerful data-analytics, troubleshooting, and enhanced engagement with teams
