Overview
We are seeking an experienced consultant with experience in claims, insurance or risk management cloud applications, preferably with the Origami Risk platform or other insurance claims management industry products. This role requires a robust understanding of claims processing and insurance risk management solutions, along with a proven track record in effectively managing and configuring software as a service application.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gathering and documenting business requirements, designing integration solutions, and working collaboratively with development teams to ensure successful implementation. This role requires a deep understanding of system reengineering, user problem assessment, and the ability to develop cost-effective solutions that align with business objectives.

 

Responsibilities
Business Analysis & System Integration:

  1. Conduct in-depth requirement analysis to define integration needs, including data formats, exchange frequency, and system dependencies.
  2. Design comprehensive integration architecture for systems such as Origami with integrating applications such as PeopleSoft and third-party Risk Management/Claims Management Systems.
  3. Configure integration middleware or tools to facilitate seamless data exchange and migration between platforms. Knowledge of SFTP integration is expected, and MuleSoft is preferred.
  4. Define data mappings, transformation rules, and harmonization strategies for structured and unstructured data.
  5. Develop or leverage existing APIs to enable real-time data exchange between enterprise systems.
  6. Perform rigorous testing to ensure integration solutions are accurate, reliable, and performant under various conditions.
  7. Coordinate deployment activities and provide go-live support to minimize disruptions.
  8. Establish monitoring tools to track system performance and proactively address maintenance needs.
  9. Document integration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.

 

Technical Project & System Administration Support:

  1. Provide technical project management support across Legal, Safety, and Risk IT products, including Origami, TPA programs, and claims management tools.
  2. Manage user access, financial limits, approval rules, and system security configurations.
  3. Design and configure user interfaces and custom screens to enhance Origami system functionality.
  4. Develop and manage complex reports within Origami Risk to support claims and risk management processes.
  5. Troubleshoot issues related to claims processing, including public liability, FELA, general liability, and workers’ compensation claims.
  6. Utilize Data Import Center for batch data processing and optimize custom fields for business efficiency.
  7. Create and manage automated scheduled jobs and EDI reporting for streamlined operations.
  8. Develop custom forms, event triggers, and automated email templates to support business workflows.
  9. Conduct unit testing for system changes and follow Agile development methodologies.
  10. Train internal teams and clients on Origami Risk, ensuring optimal use of its features.
  11. Provide expertise in Agile and Kanban methodologies using Atlassian JIRA.
  12. Serve as a subject matter expert on Origami Risk products.
  13. Diagnose and resolve issues reported via ServiceNow, escalating complex problems as needed.

 

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in business analysis, system integration, and technical project management.
  • Ability to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of web-based application development, including: Visual Studio .NET, PHP, Java, Drupal, Power Platform, Mobile Development, Windows, Linux, SQL Server
  • Expertise in integration architecture, middleware configuration, and API development.
  • Experience with project planning and Agile methodologies.
  • Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Gather and document business requirements and functional specifications for various types of IT systems to support enterprise application needs. This includes application
    request for; web (Internal and customer facing), mobile development (native and web), Kiosks and SharePoint Customization to name a few.
  • Design, code, test, implement and diagnose complete application software

 

Required Experience:

  • Technical expertise and prior experience in development of web-based applications, Mobility and SharePoint.
  • Strong project design and management skills are required
