Location: Ability to operate in a remote-first environment, with travel up to approximately 30% of the time.

Overview:

The Principal Consultant of Insurance will be a strategic leader who elevates the firm’s Insurance engagements by translating deep industry expertise into strategic frameworks, POVs, and repeatable solutions that inspire client confidence.

This individual is expected to be billable to the client approximately 60% of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Client’s strategic advisory and consulting services for the insurance vertical—spanning brokers, carriers, and industry-supporting entities —by formulating and presenting our Insurance Point of View and strategic frameworks during pre-sales motions.
  • Partner with Sales and Delivery Consulting leadership to drive new opportunities within key insurance accounts, both new prospects and in-flight engagements.
  • Shape and lead the growth of Client’s Insurance sub-vertical by participating in Strategy & Advisory engagements that align executive goals, regulatory requirements, and business strategy with technology roadmaps.
  • Support pre-sales efforts to assess client needs and collaborate on solution approaches, estimates, and delivery strategies.
  • Ensure alignment and understanding across stakeholders for proposals, roadmaps, and solutions—building clarity and trust with client executives.
  • Provide expert-level consultation and insight into insurance industry trends, challenges, and opportunities for both internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for industry offerings that address recurring challenges; collaborate with leadership to design, validate, and enable these offerings.
  • Partner with the GTM team to generate thought leadership content such as white papers, blogs, and points-of-view tailored to the Insurance market.
  • Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with client leadership to support long-term success and account expansion.
  • Leveraging AI Technology to streamline and automate insurance processes and provide insights to assist sales reps to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Work with Delivery leaders to ensure delivery teams are grounded in client objectives, business priorities, KPIs, and success metrics.
  • Architect digital transformation strategies across various insurance personas,
  • Lead client workshops to identify challenges, align stakeholders, and build consensus around business and technology solutions.
  • Recommend business process improvements and supporting technology that drive client outcomes.
  • Develop high-impact, client-facing deliverables that facilitate meaningful discussion, clarity, and strategic decision-making.
  • Utilize and evolve decision-making frameworks that align stakeholders and accelerate engagement outcomes.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience working within the insurance industry, including time in strategy, operations, or consulting roles.
  • 8+ years of experience with Salesforce and related technologies, with a focus on solution design or delivery for insurance clients.
  • 5+ years of consulting experience, including leading client relationships and internal teams.
  • Proven success in digital transformation initiatives across the insurance value chain.
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and align C-level audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience guiding stakeholders, aligning cross-functional teams, and driving value for clients.
  • Strong understanding of the consulting model, including customer success, profitability, and account expansion.
  • Experience working collaboratively across organizational levels and functions.
  • Ability to operate in a remote-first environment, with travel up to approximately 30% of the time.
