Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Job Type: Per Diem

Position Overview:

Priority Group Services is seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing occupational therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation and enhance patients' quality of life.

Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Treatment:

  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations to determine patients' functional abilities and limitations.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans to address specific occupational therapy goals.

Therapy Implementation:

  • Administering therapeutic exercises and activities to improve motor skills, strength, and coordination.
  • Utilizing adaptive equipment and assistive technology to support patients' independence.

Progress Monitoring and Documentation:

  • Monitoring patients' progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, progress notes, and reports.

Patient Education and Support:

  • Educating patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for daily living activities.
  • Providing emotional support and encouragement throughout the therapy process.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Communicating effectively with healthcare professionals and caregivers regarding patient progress and needs.

Requirements:

  • Valid New Jersey Licensure as a Occupational Therapist is required
  • Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations including those set by the New Jersey Department of Health, Office of Inspector General, Medicaid/Medicare, Corporate Compliance, PEOSHA, and Priority Group Services Policies and Procedures.
  • Proven experience in occupational therapy practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in [Specify Relevant Specialty].
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
  • Specialized certifications or training related to specific areas of occupational therapy.
