Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a FPGA Engineer located in Greater Philadelphia. As a FPGA Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing complex FPGA designs involving the latest technology innovations. This includes the development of high-performance FPGA solutions, testing, verification, and integration of FPGA designs with embedded systems. You will work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Hardware, Software, and System Verification.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Expertise in FPGA development, using Verilog or VHDL, targeting large FPGA devices (Xilinx, Altera), including FPGA design, testing, and verification
- Experience in developing high-performance, low-latency FPGA-based designs for signal processing and high-speed communication systems
- Expertise in FPGA-based design methodologies, including RTL coding, simulation, timing analysis, and synthesis
- Experience in system-level integration of FPGA designs with embedded systems, including ARM processors, memory, and IO peripheral interfaces
- Understanding of high-speed serial communication protocols (PCIe, multi-gigabit transceivers, Ethernet)
- Experience in debug, verification, and testing of FPGA designs using simulation, emulation, and hardware tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail
- Architect and design solutions to accelerate key areas of the firm's infrastructure including hardware selection and key functional blocks.
** No prior experience in finance or trading is necessary.
*** Experience with VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog or HLS is required.
