The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will support global currency New Product Development activities, both as an individual contributor and as a software technical lead. The role requires a thoughtful and detailed approach to the design of new embedded systems. The engineer should ensure all firmware is delivered on time and meets the company's quality standards.
What you'll be doing:
Independently determine and develop software solutions with technical guidance on unusual or complex problems for the company's products
Lead software teams across sites in the development of new products
Investigate and analyze product issues and design appropriate solutions to improve performance
Drive improvements to existing software engineering processes, design standards, and best practices
Design appropriate product testing and analysis of results
Write technical documents including design, process, and product documentation
Approve design releases.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Required Skills
-Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
-5+ years of embedded software development experience
-Demonstrated expertise in the development & debugging of software in real-time embedded environments
-Strong experience with RTOS (real-time operating system) and bare-metal systems Excellent working knowledge of C programming language
-Experience using Software Configuration Management systems (e.g. Perforce, git)
