Marketing Manager

The Cook’s Nook, a nutrition solutions company with a commitment to making quality, culturally-relevant nutrition accessible to all, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to join our team. This position is ideal for a talented individual who can execute innovative marketing strategies to enhance the brand, develop impactful outbound and site experiences, work with our content vendor and contractor relationships, drive demand generation, create consistent lead generation campaigns, understand our customers and key verticals, and engage with leaders in Food As Medicine sector.

In this role, you will be helping break new ground with a growing company—fleshing out our brand’s messaging and audiences as we enter a new growth phase in our business, meaning that you’ll have a lot of creative freedom and play an active part in shaping The Cook’s Nook’s direction and growing the role further.

This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer, and is part-time at 20-25 hours/week, with potential to expand. This is a hybrid role, located in Austin, TX. No travel is anticipated for this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Leadership

o Collaborate in go-to-market planning with the CEO, Sales, and Business Development leadership

o Work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, including a proactive approach to problem-solving

o Establish and manage budgeting for programs

o Identify and manage priorities in concert with other senior leaders and within the defined business targets


• Branding and Messaging

o Develop and implement effective marketing, sales, and product branding strategies to enhance the visibility and recognition of The Cook’s Nook within our key sectors and verticals

o Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and materials

o Develop and enhance messaging consistency to the key go to market segments

o Conducting or preparing research and investigating issues, as well as gathering and analyzing data to support marketing processes.


• Vendor Relationship Management:

o Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure smooth collaboration and maximize mutual benefits.

o Develop and manage digital, lead, event, and marketing calendars to align with campaigns and seasonal drivers


• Lead Demand Generation:

o Devise and execute demand generation strategies to generate leads and drive customer acquisition.

o Utilize various channels, including digital marketing and events, to create a robust pipeline.


• Campaign and Program Development:

o Conceptualize, plan, and execute marketing campaigns and programs to promote The Cook’s Nook products and solutions.

o Monitor and analyze the performance of campaigns, adjusting strategies for optimal results.


• Product Management Support:

o Work with the CEO to refine product-market fit, product-market availability, and packaging experiences

o Work with Operations on metrics gathering and ensure program impact reporting

o Organize marketing and sales support processes, including samples


• Engagement with Healthcare Sector:

o Identify key stakeholders and leaders in the healthcare sector with the CEO, Business Development and Sales leaders

o Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare leaders through effective communication and strategic outreach

o Coordinate digital, on-site and in-person marketing events, conference attendance, and speaking engagements with partners and prospects



• Proven experience in Marketing, with a focus on lead generation, vendor relationship management, campaign development and or product leadership.

• Familiarity with the healthcare industry and Food Is Medicine (FIM) space, with the ability to engage with leaders in the sector.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly cross-team

• Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative marketing strategies.

• Ability to work with standard marketing tools, including WordPress, MS Office Suite, Canva, Photoshop

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role.

• 4-8 years of experience in a marketing lead role.
