HRIS, Director 

The HRIS Director role will manage the overall strategy and operations for HR Technology and its digital ecosystem. They will partner with leadership across the company to design and deliver innovative solutions that lead to a great employee experience. They will drive the continued evolution of the HR service delivery model through innovative new digital solutions, process improvement, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate has a keen awareness of market trends and the experience to implement efforts across a complex and global organization. This role will drive operational excellence and scalability while enabling our team to continue building a high-performing culture.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop the overall global HRIS strategy and roadmap
  • Effectively support our various key business initiatives such as: M&A’s, restructuring and other projects in support of our HR strategy
  • Develop in-depth People data/analytics, reporting and dashboarding to proactively support Manager’s and Senior Leadership’s HR strategy
  • Drive the functional support to help enable HR’s ability to deliver strategic value and provide a compelling Employee/Manager user experience
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships through effective and timely communication
  • Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner
  • Manage the reporting of Human Resources information and establish procedures for processing and maintaining employee data
  • Ensure systems focus on global consistency, scalability and data accuracy
  • Design, develop and implement Oracle solutions to meet global business requirements
  • Serve as a strong consultative partner to business and functional leaders to continuously improve and connect systems to provide a more seamless customer experience
  • Identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes and partner with teams on implementation of solutions
  • Perform regular business process reviews to make ongoing suggestions and create action plans
  • Lead the HRIS team ensuring day-to-day systems support is balanced with strategic enhancements and projects
  • Develop and promote continuous learning within the HRIS team
  • Develop and sustain appropriate controls to maintain reliable data and enable scalable reporting
  • Work alongside the IT department to perform regular assessments and improvements to the HRIS
  • Oversee sourcing new software programs, implementation, contract renewals, and external vendor management
  • Document and streamline existing processes and workflows
  • Partner with Company leaders to develop Oracle enabled solutions by providing functional and technical requirements, implementing solutions and coordinate or lead projects as needed
  • Serve as the overall product owner for the Oracle HCM Cloud ecosystem, and other supporting HR applications, driving the strategic direction, roadmap, prioritization, and continual pursuit of new, innovative capabilities and features
  • Lead key aspects of the global implementation of new Oracle HCM Cloud modules/functionality in partnership with IT leaders
  • Create and lead a service delivery organization and the governance processes for servicing multiple, independent customers in a complex, global operation
  • Manage relationships with key vendors and external service providers
  • Build, lead, develop, and motivate a high performing team, reinforcing the organization’s core values and expectations through exemplary behavior, communication, and coaching practices
  • Recommend process improvements, innovative solutions, and policy changes
  • Understand business needs to provide actionable insights by developing, producing, analyzing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports, filters, macros, or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Lead development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
  • Develop a strategy to optimize HRIS systems to meet workforce requirements and drive accuracy and insights

  • Monitor and enhance service delivery standards to ensure global consistency, ultimately enhancing both manager and employee experiences
  • Leverage subject matter expertise to advise on HR data and technology-related matters across the organization
  • Oversee sourcing new software programs, implementation, contract renewals, and external vendor management
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required
  • Ten-plus years progressive, relevant experience in HRIS with 3 to 5 years in a leadership role in shared-services, large corporation, or consulting firm; International experience a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Oracle HCM Cloud with preferred knowledge of Core HR, Employee and Manager Self Service, Benefits, Absence Management, Recruiting and Onboarding, Performance Management, Compensation and Time and Labor
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources functions
  • Demonstrated expertise with multiple HR Technology software applications and ability to learn new software as needed
  • Strong operational support leader and a proven leader and builder of high-performance teams. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management and employees
  • Strong experience managing multiple high-complexity HR projects simultaneously and experience effectively communicating and negotiating resources, cost, and timeline to internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrates leadership, facilitation, coaching, mentoring and interpersonal/group communication skills
  • Strong detailed and conceptual thinking skills to analyze complex problems and propose solutions despite technical and operational constraints
  • Strong knowledge of US State and Federal labor laws

  • Knowledgeable with Project Management activities (including M&A) and driving effective Change Management
