PERSONAL LINES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

  1. Have comprehensive knowledge of various insurance contracts and the coverage they provide as well as an understanding of company underwriting guidelines.
  2. Position requires the ability to work independently & know when to seek assistance as needed.
  3. Know how to manage time well & have ability to prioritize workflow from day to day.
  4. Have excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  5. Position requires a solid understanding of both high net-worth clients & their coverage needs as well as the needs of our middle-market clients.
  6. Have comprehensive knowledge of all forms of Personal Lines business, including but not limited to Flood, Workers’ Compensation, EPLI, etc.
  7. Have solid experience placing business through non-admitted carriers for risks that are difficult to place or have underwriting concerns.
  8. Have knowledge of & experience working with high net-worth carriers such as ACE, Chubb, AIG, Cincinnati, PURE, Berkley One.
  9. Have knowledge & experience working with middle-market carriers such as Travelers, Kemper, Encompass, Progressive & National General.
  10. Have knowledge of Applied EPIC – how to set up prospects as well as new clients & have thorough working knowledge on how to navigate the system. Will consider candidates who have experience with similar operating systems, including TAM.
  11. Have experience preparing Excel worksheets for various projects as well as ability to provide a summary of insurance for clients as needed.
  12. Cultivate an excellent rapport with carrier underwriters to discuss & seek approval for new business, rewrites as well as day to day underwriting concerns.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

** Must have a valid NYS Property & Casualty License **

· A minimum of 3 years related insurance experiencing in an Insurance Brokerage Office

· College degree preferred but not required

· Accustomed to working in a fast pace, team-oriented environment

· Capacity to solve problems while considering impact to client and firm

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to exercise independent & sound judgement in decision making

· Excellent time management and organizational skills

· High attention to detail

· Multitasking with the ability to manage continually changing priorities and ability to prioritize work based on customer service needs and departmental regulations

· Self-motivated & able to work independently

· Ability to work collaboratively with multiple professional disciplines and with diverse populations

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

Location: Nassau County, NY

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
