Responsibilities include:


  • Build sales relationships by daily interactions with physicians and discharge planners and management at hospitals to ensure referrals/admissions.
  • Call on physician offices, rehabilitation & skilled nursing facilities in addition to senior living communities within an assigned territory to open new accounts and promote the sale of designated service lines.
  • Perform pre-admission assessments of the clinical status of patient referrals and evaluation of patient needs.
  • Maintain sales territory in order to meet census goals and comfortable with sales techniques such as cold calling and contact planning. Maintain detailed territory management systems records.
  • Planning and achievement of territory admission targets. Work in conjunction with operations and other sales resources in the market in preparation of quarterly / annual market business plans. Implement territory business plans and manage sales time and resources according to plan, adjusting the plan as necessary to meet targets.
  • Serve as an educational resource for patients, clients, families, and referral sources.
  • Maintain market awareness and prepares competitive updates.
  • Participate in special projects, specialty program launches and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Actively assist the referring and accepting institutions in addressing requirements of specific patients.
  • Monitor marketing activity through call logs (activity logs) and profiling of customers is a necessary skill.
  • This exciting and challenging position requires an individual that is skilled in review of critically ill patients.
  • Must be flexible, self-driven, accountable for results, autonomous, yet supportive of team efforts.

  • Other requirements of the position include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a health-related science (e.g., nursing, pharmacy, etc.) or the equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years health care or related industry sales experience generally required.
  • Candidates with a background as a licensed Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist with sales, marketing and acute care clinical experience are a plus.
  • Must be flexible, self-driven, accountable for results, autonomous, yet supportive of team efforts.
  • Excellent selling, organization, problem-solving skills and the ability to appropriately represent the Company’s service capabilities to the targeted referral source audience is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, teamwork, and presentation skills required.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of valid auto insurance are required.
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory and to sales meetings as required. Weekend/evening hours may be required.
