Cannabis Post Processing Assistant

GreenForce is looking to place a Post Processing Assistant with a client of ours, based in Portland, OR.

Compensation: $17/hr + benefits

Full Time: Hours and Days TBA

Position Overview:

The Post Processing Assistant is responsible for the extraction and refinement of cannabinoids and terpenes from cannabis plant material. This position will require the application of chemical and physical separation techniques to assist in the production of concentrates and derivative natural products.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Run and monitor production processes to ensure optimized productivity of unit operations;

  • Assist in day-to-day operations and implementation of SOPs;

  • Record and evaluate observations for all processes;

  • Accurate data tabulation and entry applying basic math and computer skills;

  • Laboratory cleaning and equipment maintenance;

  • Ability to recognize and troubleshoot problems with process equipment and products;

  • Generates labels, records, and reports;

  • Maintaining accurate inventory control and forms during shift;

  • Packaging and labeling of concentrates and derivative natural products;

  • Assist with periodic reviews and assessments of operational efficiencies, tools, and practices;

  • Ensure department assigned objectives and deadlines are met;

  • Abide by and enforce department safety programs;

  • Adhere to all company and Oregon state policies in an ethical manner;

  • Effective communication skills and self-driven team member;

  • Performs other duties as may be required from time to time including: aiding other departments and light general facility maintenance;

Requirements:

  • Applicant must be at least 21 years of age;

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check;

  • Must be eligible to register for a Oregon Liquor Control Commission Marijuana Worker Permit

  • Relevant industry or equivalent materials handling and processing experience: 1 year

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, or applicable science field

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with EH&S or equivalent standard laboratory practices and procedures

  • Training in standard chemical and manufacturing processes or equivalent knowledge

  • Experience with quality control and quality assurance practices

  • METRC experience preferred

  • Cannabis extraction experience highly preferred
