Embassies & Diplomatic Missions, Commercial, Life and Disability, Employee Benefits and Private Clients.

Account Executives are responsible for fully managing small to midsize personal accounts while administering the daily client service request and relations.

 

Qualifications/Experience:

7+ years in employee benefits account management

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Life & Health Insurance license required

• Experience with fully insured and self-funding arrangements

• Experience with compliance, benchmarking, industry trends

• Self-motivated with the ability to provide leadership, work effectively as part of a team or on

individually-assigned tasks

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment where time-management and prioritization skills are essential

• Ability to perform variable, complex tasks independently

• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

• Excellent and refined verbal, written and communication skills

• Excellent live presentation and interpersonal skills

• Be competent and have a confident and positive attitude

• Capacity to multi-task and focus on completing tasks in a timely manner

• Ability to travel locally and nationally as needed

 

Responsibilities:

• Manage a large group book of business for both local and national accounts with various funding structures

• Provide leadership and ensure excellent client service for assigned large group clients

• Develop and enhance relationships with clients by understanding their goals and initiatives

• Lead in-person client meetings to provide strategic guidance and analyze financial performance data

• Provide clear and concise communication to client leadership and internal producer regarding expectations and deliverables

• Strategize and set attainable goals based on client’s budget, company culture and mission

• Provide guidance and support to account management during the creation of carrier Requests for Proposal, vendor selection, RFP analysis, and preparation of client communications

• Advise on carrier selection, alternate funding, plan and contribution strategies to obtain client goals

• Responsible for timely execution of the monthly and yearly service & renewal calendars

• Generates new business opportunities through cross-selling

• Consults frequently with clients to review claims analytics and utilization trends

• Ongoing communication with carriers to ensure predictable renewal results

• Negotiates carrier, vendor and third-party policy terms and costs

• Assist Producer and other department staff in closing new business opportunities

• Assists in the establishment and attainment of revenue goals for existing and new business

• Assist in the development and implementation of account management & service policies and procedures

• Develops and maintains dependable working partnerships with carriers, vendors and centers of influence

• Oversees escalated issue-resolution between client, carrier, vendor and other third-party relationships

• Collaborates with Practice Leader and AVP on new business growth and retention goals

• Thorough understanding and utilization of agency management system (EPIC)

• Review and maintain all new business and renewal report activities in EPIC

• Educate, train and mentor account management & service team on concepts, techniques, and programs to help develop and enhance exposure and growth

• Proficient in current industry trends, product development and government regulations

• Educate, advise and be a technical expert on compliance-related topics: COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, ACA, 5500

• Extensive experience reviewing and understanding industry benchmark reporting and analysis

• Knowledge of current marketing campaigns and trends

• Maintain high retention of existing clients and client satisfaction

• Attend internal and external industry-related educational meetings and programs

• Performs other responsibilities and duties as needed
