Position Summary
We are seeking a driven, analytical, and team-oriented Associate 1 to join our Boston office. You will work alongside senior bankers on large-cap M&A transactions, primarily in the TMT and Healthcare IT verticals, supporting both sell-side and buy-side mandates.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in all facets of deal execution while building deep sector expertise in two of the most dynamic industries in today’s economy.
Key Responsibilities
Support end-to-end execution of M&A transactions, including industry research, financial modeling, valuation analysis, and preparation of client materials (CIMs, management presentations, board materials).
Conduct detailed financial due diligence and assist in coordinating third-party advisors (legal, accounting, technical).
Develop and maintain complex financial models, including DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, and public comps.
Interface directly with clients, investors, and senior executives; attend management meetings and deal calls.
Monitor industry trends and maintain market intelligence across TMT and Healthcare IT subsectors.
Assist in business development efforts including pitchbook preparation and prospecting support.
Qualifications
2–3 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or consulting (M&A experience strongly preferred).
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills; advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities; capable of building trust with clients and internal stakeholders.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; able to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
Demonstrated interest or experience in the TMT or Healthcare IT sectors a plus.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CFA a plus, but not required.
