POSITION:This company seeks to hire an experienced Associate for its Real Estate Team located in New York, NY.

ROLE OVERVIEW:This company’s differentiated approach to advisory provides Associates with the ability to work closely with senior bankers on industry-transforming, multi-billion-dollar transactions around the world. The small transaction team structure creates a strong platform for Associates to learn investment banking and assume high levels of responsibility at early stages of their careers. As part of the team, the Associate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of strategic advisory assignments including: sellside and buyside M&A engagements; activism and raid defense; divestitures and spin-off engagements; capital raising; special committee engagements; restructuring advisory; and, more broadly, evaluation of strategic alternatives.


  • Drafting client presentation materials

  • Drafting public and private marketing materials such as offering memorandum, confidential information memorandum, management presentations, and prospectuses

  • Compiling financial analyses such as valuation, pro forma merger models, and three statement operating models

  • Preparing and managing the delivery of internal committee memos

  • Facilitating due diligence

  • Attending client meetings and assisting with new business development


  • An MBA from a top-tier business school or an Associate promote

  • 1-3 years of investment banking experience

  • Experience working in a real estate group at an investment bank or with a real estate sector client

  • Excellent grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting

  • Intellectually curious and able to think broadly about a range of strategic issues confronting clients

  • Strong communications skills, both written and oral

  • Resourceful self-starter able to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
