Job Title: Vice President – Life Sciences Investment Banking

Overview:

As a Vice President in the Life Sciences Investment Banking group, you will play a leadership role in the execution of complex M&A, equity, and debt financing transactions for clients across the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and medical device sectors. You'll oversee analyst and associate teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Execution:

    • Lead the execution of M&A advisory and capital markets transactions (IPO, follow-ons, private placements, debt offerings).

    • Oversee due diligence, valuation analysis, financial modeling, and creation of marketing materials.

    • Coordinate internal and external parties (legal, accounting, consulting) involved in deal processes.

  • Client & Relationship Management:

    • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, often managing day-to-day communications.

    • Build and maintain long-term client relationships with biotech, pharma, and medtech companies.

  • Business Development:

    • Work closely with Managing Directors to identify, pitch, and win new mandates.

    • Prepare and present pitch books and strategic analyses to prospective clients.

  • Leadership & Mentoring:

    • Manage and mentor junior team members (Analysts and Associates), ensuring quality output and professional development.

    • Foster a collaborative team environment with a strong focus on precision and client service.

Qualifications:

  • 6–10 years of experience in investment banking or life sciences finance.

  • Prior experience specifically in healthcare or life sciences investment banking is highly preferred.

  • Deep understanding of the life sciences industry, including biotech drug development pipelines, regulatory pathways, and public/private company financing trends.

  • Strong technical skills in valuation (DCF, comps, LBO), modeling, and transaction structuring.

  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
