Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced FIG (Financial Institutions Group) Associate to join our Investment Banking team. The FIG Associate will play a critical role in advising financial institutions on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex transactions and collaborate with industry experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis of FIG clients, including banks, insurance companies, and other financial services firms, to assess their performance, financial health, and growth prospects.

  2. Due Diligence: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct due diligence on potential transactions, including reviewing financial statements, assessing risk factors, and identifying opportunities for value creation.

  3. Client Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with FIG clients, serving as a key point of contact and providing updates on market trends, transaction progress, and strategic recommendations.

  4. Transaction Execution: Play a pivotal role in the execution of M&A transactions, capital raising, and other advisory services for FIG clients, including preparing pitch books, financial models, and presentations.

  5. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics affecting the financial services sector to provide valuable insights to clients.

  6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior bankers and other team members to deliver comprehensive financial solutions and ensure seamless transaction execution.

  7. Compliance: Ensure all activities and transactions comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on FIG transactions.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Sound understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the financial services industry.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong project management skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
