Our client is an elite boutique bank looking for a healthcare associate to focus on biotech.

  1. Financial Analysis and Modeling:

    • Conduct financial analysis, including financial statement analysis, valuation modeling, and financial forecasting.
    • Create and maintain financial models to assess the financial performance and valuation of healthcare companies.
    • Perform industry research and analysis to identify trends, market opportunities, and potential risks in the healthcare sector.
  2. Deal Execution and Transaction Support:

    • Support senior bankers in the execution of healthcare transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), initial public offerings (IPOs), debt and equity offerings, and other corporate finance transactions.
    • Assist in the due diligence process, including conducting research, gathering and analyzing data, and preparing due diligence reports.
    • Prepare transaction-related documents, including pitch books, information memoranda, offering memoranda, and other marketing materials.
  3. Client Communication and Relationship Management:

    • Interact with clients to gather necessary information, answer inquiries, and provide updates on transaction progress.
    • Participate in client meetings and conference calls, assisting senior bankers in presenting analyses, recommendations, and transaction updates.
    • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering high-quality work and demonstrating industry knowledge and expertise.
  4. Market Research and Industry Knowledge:

    • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market dynamics within the healthcare sector.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities, industry benchmarks, and competitive landscape.
    • Prepare research reports, industry updates, and presentations on healthcare-related topics for internal and external distribution.
  5. Team Collaboration and Project Management:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and other internal stakeholders, to ensure smooth deal execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Assist in coordinating and managing project timelines, deliverables, and work streams to meet client deadlines.
    • Work closely with junior team members, including Analysts and Interns, providing guidance and support on various aspects of transaction execution and analysis.
  6. Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies throughout the transaction process.
    • Identify and assess potential risks associated with transactions and propose risk mitigation strategies.
    • Stay updated on regulatory changes in the healthcare sector and their potential impact on transactions and clients.
