Vice President Technology Coverage

Our client is a worldclass, bulge bracket type full service Investment Bank. They are  looking for a VP to focus on technology Investment banking including M&A and Capital Markets. The role will focus on Infrastructure, Cyber and Comms.

  1. Leadership and Strategy:

    • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the technology investment banking team.
    • Develop and execute business plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the technology sector.
    • Build and maintain relationships with clients, including technology companies, private equity firms, and venture capitalists.
  2. Deal Origination and Execution:

    • Originate and structure technology-related deals, such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), initial public offerings (IPOs), private placements, and debt offerings.
    • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, due diligence, and valuation of target companies.
    • Prepare marketing materials, including pitch books, information memoranda, and financial models.
    • Lead and coordinate deal teams, including junior bankers and cross-functional teams, to execute transactions efficiently and effectively.
  3. Client Relationship Management:

    • Cultivate and expand relationships with existing clients, understanding their strategic objectives and advising on financial and capital market solutions.
    • Identify and pursue new client relationships to generate business opportunities.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic and financial advice tailored to their specific needs.
  4. Market Research and Industry Knowledge:

    • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape within the technology sector.
    • Conduct research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities and assess market conditions.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations on market insights and investment recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Team Management and Development:

    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
    • Coordinate and oversee the work of analysts and associates, ensuring the accuracy and quality of deliverables.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
  6. Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
    • Identify and manage potential risks associated with transactions and client relationships.
