We sre seeking an Associate or a VP to join  a prominent and dynamic middle market private equity firm. We are dedicated to identifying and nurturing investment opportunities that drive growth and innovation within the TMT industry. The TMT team consists of a small group of private equity professionals who identify middle market investments with founder owned comapnies. The team provides private equity and structured credit and debt to clients.

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate to join our TMT-focused investment team in Stamford, Connecticut. As a Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in the deal sourcing, due diligence, execution, and management of investments within the TMT sector. The candidate should come out of an Investment Bank or middle market private equity firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, including market research, financial analysis, operational assessment, and risk evaluation.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess investment returns, growth prospects, and potential value creation strategies.
  • Investment Execution: Collaborate with the team to structure and execute investment transactions, including negotiations, legal documentation, and financing arrangements.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor and actively engage with portfolio companies to drive operational improvements, strategic initiatives, and value-enhancing projects.
  • Industry Analysis: Stay up-to-date with TMT industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to inform investment decisions and strategies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior professionals, including Partners and Principals, to contribute to investment discussions, presentations, and strategic planning.
  • Networking: Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, entrepreneurs, advisors, and other key stakeholders to enhance deal flow and industry insights.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive investment memos, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Must live in Fairfield County, CT or have a close connection to the area
  • Must be willing to be in the Stamford office daily
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex investment opportunities.
  • Excellent understanding of TMT industry trends, dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing investments and contributing to value creation within portfolio companies.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thinking, and a results-driven attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with financial software and databases is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
