Job Description: Vice President – Enterprise Software Investment Banking

Role Overview:
The Vice President (VP) of Enterprise Software Investment Banking will lead client engagements and manage transaction execution for clients in the enterprise software sector. This individual will drive business development efforts, provide strategic advisory services, and oversee the execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), equity financings, and debt transactions. The VP will act as a trusted advisor to clients, leveraging deep sector expertise to deliver tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with C-suite executives and key decision-makers at enterprise software companies.
- Provide clients with strategic insights and actionable recommendations based on market trends and financial analysis.
- Represent the firm in high-stakes meetings, presentations, and industry events.
Transaction Leadership:
- Lead origination, structuring, and execution of M&A, equity, and debt transactions.
- Oversee development of financial models, valuation analyses, pitch books, offering memoranda, and transaction documentation.
- Manage due diligence processes, negotiate deal terms, and ensure successful transaction closings.
Industry Expertise:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the enterprise software sector, including SaaS, cloud computing, and emerging technologies.
- Track industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes to provide clients with data-driven advice.
- Identify potential business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Manage and mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Lead deal teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient execution.
- Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and teamwork.
Collaboration Across Teams:
- Partner with product specialists and other sector teams to provide integrated solutions to clients.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including legal, accounting, and consulting advisors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field; MBA or CFA strongly preferred.
- 6-10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance, with a focus on enterprise software or technology.
- Proven track record of managing and executing complex transactions.
- Deep knowledge of the enterprise software sector, including SaaS business models and key industry players.
- Strong technical skills, including financial modeling and valuation.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
- Series 79 and 63 licenses (or willingness to obtain them).
