The Healthcare Group, based in New York, advises on a full range of strategic and financing transactions. Our clients include leading domestic and global corporates in biopharma, medtech, and other healthcare sectors. The Healthcare Group is seeking an experienced associate who can make an immediate contribution to a nimble and collaborative team experiencing strong momentum.

Role Description

As a member of the Healthcare Group, the associate will be part of lean deal teams with direct access to senior bankers and clients. The associate will take an active role in developing, structuring and executing a broad range of advisory assignments and financing transactions for our clients.

  • Lead role in Deal Execution: Work closely with clients and execution teams on live transactions, including sell-side and buy-side mergers & acquisitions, partnerships, divestitures, and capital raisings
  • Client Relationship Management: Produce and present ideas at client meetings as a member of a deal team alongside senior bankers
  • Strategic Analysis: Through financial, structural, and business risk analysis, support transactions and client presentations
  • New Business Development: Actively participate in the effort to pitch and win new mandates from clients, leverage proprietary content and generate value-additive ideas
  • Team Management and Development: Manage analysts to execute deliverables for clients and support the training and mentoring of junior professionals

Skills Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare investment banking
  • Experience in sell-side and buy-side healthcare M&A execution
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • Outstanding academic qualifications, strong GPA
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
  • Series 79 and 63 required
