Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Managing Director to lead our Enterprise Software coverage team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives, managing client relationships, and driving business growth within the enterprise software sector. This role requires a deep understanding of the technology landscape, strong leadership skills, and the ability to navigate the complexities of a global financial institution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the enterprise software sector, aligning with the bank's overall objectives.
    • Identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities within the enterprise software space to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Client Relationship Management:

    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including C-suite executives of leading enterprise software companies.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing insights and guidance on market developments, M&A opportunities, and capital raising activities.
  • Business Development:

    • Drive business growth by identifying and pursuing new client opportunities.
    • Lead the origination and execution of high-value transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and other capital markets activities.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
    • Provide strategic direction, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Market Analysis and Research:

    • Oversee the production of in-depth market analysis, research reports, and presentations on the enterprise software sector.
    • Ensure the team stays abreast of industry developments, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
  • Risk Management:

    • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.
    • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks associated with transactions and client engagements.
Qualifications:
  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Technology, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field, with a focus on enterprise software.
    • Proven track record of leading and executing complex transactions in the enterprise software sector.
    • Extensive network of industry contacts and strong client relationship management skills.
  • Skills:

    • Deep understanding of the enterprise software industry, including key players, market dynamics, and technological trends.
    • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
