SVP/Director Technology Investment Banking

Middle-market financial technology investment bank is looking for an SVP/Director. We offer superior transaction outcomes delivered with a level of expert service simply not available at other firms. Seeking an experienced Vice President to join our team in our Wellesley, MA headquarters. The right candidate is a highly motivated leader with 5+ years of investment banking experience, who is able to help lead challenging M&A transactions while contributing to the firm’s business development, sales, and marketing initiatives.


We view this as a long-term hire that will eventually have the option to buy into the firm.





As a Senior Vice President, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of a broad range of transaction types. This means managing multiple deals simultaneously, anticipating next steps, and becoming the Client’s trusted go-to person for daily interactions. You should be able to drive a process from beginning to end – pitch, pre-launch & marketing materials, due diligence, indications of interests and negotiations.


The role will involve the following:

  • Responsibility for key execution deliverables (CIM, detailed financial pack, data room preparation, etc.)
  • Preparing and delivering pitches
  • Investment banking coverage of corporate and private equity clients, including pitching and structuring
  • Playing key leadership roles in all aspects of the transaction process
  • Taking primary responsibility for deal execution of transactions
  • Mentoring and training analyst and associate level bankers
  • Maintaining client relations during the deal execution period
  • Initiating new client relationships and expanding a business franchise within the Fintech sector. Focus on the middle market, and advise on transactions in the $50 – $250 million range



  • Must have 5+years of investment banking/M&A experience
  • Fintech (tech-enabled services and software) experience required
  • Middle Market transaction experience is preferred
  • Sell-side M&A transaction experience
  • Excellent analytical and modeling skills
  • Strong client management skills
  • Team player and ability to work independently as well
  • Strong technical and communication skills
