About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Jr. HR Analyst with strong experience in benefits administration and HR/benefit systems to join our growing InsureTech team. In this role, you will support HR operations, maintain data accuracy across digital benefits platforms, troubleshoot system issues, and help enhance the employee experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration
- Support day-to-day benefits administration, including enrollments, terminations, life events, and eligibility tracking.
- Maintain employee benefit records across HRIS and third-party benefits platforms.
- Assist employees with benefits questions, plan details, enrollment issues, and system navigation.
HR & Benefits Systems Support
- Monitor and troubleshoot benefits system issues; escalate complex technical problems to vendors or internal engineering teams.
- Perform periodic audits to ensure data integrity across HRIS, payroll, and benefits platforms.
- Process and validate benefit data feeds (EDI, API connections) used by carriers and partners.
- Collaborate with product teams to test and validate system improvements, integrations, or new features.
Analytics & Reporting
- Generate reports on enrollment trends, benefit utilization, and compliance metrics.
- Assist in preparing data for ACA reporting, audits, and regulatory filings.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and employee experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams (Payroll, Finance, People Ops, Engineering) to resolve data discrepancies and streamline workflows.
- Coordinate with external vendors, carriers, and brokers on plan setup, data exchanges, and issue resolution.
- Support annual open enrollment activities, communications, and system configuration/testing.
Qualifications
Required
- 1–2 years of HR experience, preferably in benefits administration or HRIS support.
- Working knowledge of benefits systems such as Employee Navigator, PlanSource, Workday Benefits, Ease, or similar.
- Strong understanding of benefits processes (medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, 401k).
- Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and comfortable working in multiple systems.
Preferred
- Experience in the InsureTech, HR Tech, or SaaS industry.
- Familiarity with HRIS (Workday, UKG, ADP, Paylocity).
- Understanding of compliance requirements (ACA, HIPAA, ERISA).
- Experience with APIs, data feeds, or technical troubleshooting (a plus but not required).

Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000
