Your new employer owns and manages a diversified portfolio of office, industrial, and retail properties in North America.?? They are now looking to add an experienced Senior Manager - Specialty Leasing to their team based in Brampton.

Your New Role

As the Manager, Operations you will report directly to the General Manager, overseeing the effective day-to-day operations and maintenance of a large-scale shopping center complex, spanning up to 1 million square feet. This role requires a robust combination of strategic leadership and operational expertise to ensure optimal performance.


A key focus is on fostering a culture of exemplary customer service, ensuring that the shopping center operates smoothly, delivering a top-tier experience for tenants and shoppers alike.

Success in this role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, maintaining high standards for maintenance and safety protocols, and proactively addressing any operational challenges. The Manager must also demonstrate the ability to balance long-term strategic goals with immediate operational needs, ensuring the shopping center remains both profitable and attractive to retailers and customers.

Overall, this position demands a high degree of teamwork, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement in operational performance.

What Sets You Apart

You will bring over five years of relevant experience in operations management, demonstrating a solid track record in overseeing regional and multi-regional retail centers. Your expertise lies in ensuring efficient and effective management of large-scale properties, particularly those equipped with central plant HVAC systems, showcasing technical proficiency in managing complex infrastructure.

With a strong command of operating budgets and re-forecasting processes, you will ensure fiscal responsibility while optimizing financial performance. Additionally, you are proficient in MS Office applications, which supports your day-to-day tasks and facilitates clear and effective communication.

In terms of core competencies, you excel in interpersonal skills, enabling you to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, tenants, and team members. Your organizational abilities ensure seamless coordination of tasks, maintaining a high level of operational efficiency.

With excellent verbal and written communication skills, you can convey information clearly to diverse audiences, while your team building, and management capabilities foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

You demonstrate effective time management skills, successfully balancing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Having strong conflict resolution and negotiation abilities will ensure smooth operations and positive outcomes, even in complex situations.

With a mindset focused on continuous improvement, you are always on the lookout for ways to enhance performance and operational efficiency.

In addition to your core skills, you should hold certifications in building operations systems (such as HVAC or Boiler systems), which further solidifies your technical expertise.

You have a solid understanding of WHMIS requirements, enhancing your ability to maintain workplace safety and compliance. While experience managing teams and projects is an asset, your leadership and project management capabilities are already well-established.

Experience with YARDI and ANGUS systems further strengthens your ability to manage properties effectively. Finally, you hold a valid driver’s license and have access to their own vehicle, providing the necessary operational mobility and flexibility required for success in the role.
