Your New Role

As a Development Manager, you will lead the coordination and execution of residential and potentially industrial projects, guiding them through every stage from inception and design to construction and final occupancy. Your responsibilities will include managing consultant teams, preparing pro forma analyses, and overseeing project budgets while executing tight project timelines. A key part of your role will involve engaging with municipalities and communities, navigating the development approval process, and ensuring alignment with local bylaws and regulations. Through your proactive approach, you will identify potential risks and opportunities, ensuring successful project delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

What Sets You Apart

The ideal candidate brings a minimum of five years of development management experience, preferably with a focus on residential and/or industrial projects within British Columbia. An academic background in architecture, engineering, or construction management will equip you with the knowledge to succeed in this role. You have a thorough understanding of development approval processes, including interfacing with municipal, provincial, federal, and First Nations government regulations. Your ability to confidently review and coordinate project drawings combined with strong written and verbal communication skills makes you an invaluable contributor to the team. Proficiency in MS Office 365, Bluebeam, and CAD software is essential, and your ability to collaborate across departments and external teams, such as sales and marketing, further enhances your value.
