Your New Role

As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and strategic direction of an industrial portfolio. Reporting directly to the Property Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that the real estate assets are well-maintained, operationally efficient, and meet the evolving needs of tenants.

In this role, you will coordinate capital expenditure projects, making sure financial constraints are met, and projects are delivered efficiently.

You will oversee the maintenance and repairs of critical building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire alarms. Additionally, you will manage tenant-related maintenance and construction requests, ensuring that tenant satisfaction remains high.

Your responsibilities will also include supervising contracts ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget.

Ensuring that all activities comply with safety regulations and best practices is a key aspect of the role, with a focus on maintaining a high standard of safety and operational efficiency across the properties under management.

What Sets You Apart

A minimum of 10 years of experience in physical plant operations and building systems is required for this role, with at least 5 years of tenant relations and managing third party service providers. Additionally, 3 years of experience in project management is essential to ensure effective oversight of construction and maintenance projects.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, or a related field. Certifications such as BES I & II or their equivalents are required to ensure a thorough understanding of building environmental systems and operations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of building codes, sustainability practices, and the ability to interpret blueprints. Excellent leadership and communication skills are critical, as well as proficiency in MS Office, Yardi FM, and building automation systems to manage operations effectively.
