Your New Role

Reporting to the VP Asset Management who is based in Montreal, you will maximize the value of the company’s real estate assets through effective asset management strategies, the goal being optimal performance and profitability of the commercial office property portfolio. You will liaise with many internal and external stakeholders, develop and present strategies for leasing, marketing and capital expenditure projects, assist with recommendations regarding acquisition, disposition, new development and asset enhancement initiatives and prepare and present a variety of reports to senior leadership. Working collaboratively with different teams to drive long-term value for the company, you strive to ensure high standards of property maintenance and tenant satisfaction. In this newly created position, you will have authorship to build out the asset management team for the Toronto office. You thrive in a mentorship role and enjoy developing a team of property, operations and leasing managers and create an environment of accountability, team-work and high standards.

What Sets You Apart

You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance or a related field. You have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the CRE industry/property management coupled with strong leadership skills. You have in-depth knowledge of asset management principles, including financial analysis, budgeting, leasing, and property maintenance and have experience in developing and implementing asset management strategies to maximize portfolio value. You are very familiar with market trends, competitive analysis and investment analysis and have strong analytical, research and problem-solving abilities. You are proficient using relevant property operations and leasing software and have strong IT skills. Bilingual in French/English is considered a huge advantage. You exercise flexibility and judgement in a dynamic environment, have strong customer service/organizational and time-management skills and enjoy leading and coaching others.
